Most common Direct TV code is 2324. Make sure the box is in direct line of sight, and that you are 405 feet away fomr the box.
But some Direct TV / Genie boxes may be installed in RF radio frequency.
So we need to actvate IR (infrared) in the Direct TV box.
Use Direct TV remote: Menu-Settings-Remote Control-Activate IR
or something similar. Please consult the box settings, manual or Direct TV online support if that does not work.
