The most common Direct TV code is 2324. Make sure the box is in direct line of sight, and that you are 4-5 feet away fomr the box.
But some Direct TV / Genie boxes may be installed in RF radio frequency.
So we need to actvate IR (infrared) in the Direct TV box.
Use Direct TV remote: Menu-Settings-Remote Control-Activate IR
or something similar. Please consult the box settings, manual or Direct TV online support if that does not work.
We suggest the QC Flow:
Reset: ress and hold ADD till solid, then 954.
(1) Set TV : press VOL. If working, go to STB. If not, then: press and hold TV til the light turns solid, then enter the 4 digit code (test on/off and VOL)
(2) Set STB : press CH. If working, you are done. If not, then: press and hold STB til the light turns solid, then enter the 4 digit code (Direct TV usually 2324 - consult code list if needed).
